Features
Worklynq Assist
Assist is a chat panel on the side of every page. Ask about your work, tell it what to open, or have it do things for you — by typing or by talking. It works as you, with your permissions, and asks before it changes anything.
Open Assist
- On a computer, click Assist at the bottom right. On a phone, tap the Assist icon in the top bar.
- The panel stays open while you move between pages. Press Escape to close it.
Anyone whose role can use AI Search can use Assist, when your company has AI Search turned on — including floor staff without access to AI agents.
What you can ask
- Questions about your work: “Summarize how today is going”, “What’s still waiting at Main Street?”, “Which tickets are overdue?”
- Open something: “Open Order Tracking”, “Show me OPS-42.” Assist opens any module in your sidebar, or a ticket, and shows an Opened … chip in the chat.
- Get things done: create or update tickets, add comments, write or update Knowledge Center pages, and build dashboards.
- Your shift: “Start my shift”, “Taking a break”, “End my shift.” See Shifts.
Assist uses the same tools as Worklynq’s AI agents — AI Search, tickets, docs, dashboards, orders, and shifts — so it can answer from everything you’re allowed to see.
Changes need your OK
Looking things up happens straight away. Before Assist creates or changes a ticket, a document, or a dashboard, the panel shows Assist wants to: … with Go ahead and Don’t. You can stop it at any time while it’s working.
The one exception is starting, pausing, or ending your own shift when you ask for it — Assist does that right away, since it’s yours and easy to undo. If anything else Assist read could have prompted the change, it asks first like any other change.
Talk instead of typing
Tap the microphone and speak. Assist uses your browser’s own speech recognition (Chrome, Edge, and Safari on iPhone, iPad, and Mac), so Worklynq only receives the text. If your browser can’t do it, the microphone doesn’t show.
Handy in a kitchen or on a site: “start my shift” or “what’s next at Riverside?” without touching the screen for long.
History
- Open History to find past chats, grouped by Today, Yesterday, Earlier this week, and then by month. Search covers titles and replies.
- Filter by the modules your chats touched — the list follows your company’s own modules.
- Every Assist chat is also saved in AI Search, and AI Search chats appear in Assist History with an AI Search tag so you can carry on in the panel.
Permissions and privacy
- It acts as you. Assist sees and changes only what you can, and never other people’s personal pages.
- Everything is logged. What Assist does shows in the agent activity log as Assist.
- Your System Admin decides. If AI is set to read-only for the company, Assist can’t make changes — including to shifts.
- Assist uses your company’s AI credits, like AI Search.
